Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Fairway Convert ("we", "us") collects when you use https://convert.fairwayus.net/ (the "Site"), how it is used, and the choices you have. The Site is operated by Fairway US.

Information we collect

Your calculations stay on your device

Every converter and calculator runs inside your browser. The numbers, dates, IP addresses, measurements and passwords you enter are not sent to us or stored on our servers.

Settings stored in your browser

The Site saves a few small settings in your browser's local storage, such as your cookie choice and the last calculator you used. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.

Currency rates

When you load live exchange rates, your browser contacts a third-party rate provider (open.er-api.com). That provider may receive your IP address as part of the normal web request. No calculation values are sent.

Information sent when you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to improve the Site, and we keep it only as long as needed for that purpose.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records basic technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. These logs are used to keep the Site secure and running and are kept for a limited time.

Fonts

The Site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, Google receives your IP address and browser information. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Cookie choices

Use Cookie choices at the bottom of the converter page to change your setting at any time. Choosing "Essential only" asks our ad partners to serve non-personalized ads where supported.

Advertising and cookies

The Site may show advertisements from Google AdSense to keep it free. When it does, the following applies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Advertising cookies and similar technologies may be used by Google and its partners to show ads and measure how they perform.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Referral links

Some links on the Site are referral links, including a link to Hostinger web hosting. If you follow one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Hostinger may set its own cookies once you arrive on its site, under its own privacy policy.

How we use information

• To understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some state laws treat sharing information with advertising partners for personalized ads as a "sale" or "sharing"; see your choices below.

Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states, the EEA and the UK, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Because the Site has no accounts, we usually hold very little information about you.

Children's privacy

The Site is meant for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

The Site links to other websites, and ads may lead to them. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.

Security

We use reasonable measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect the Site. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
